Sofia Sans is a typeface designed for the Bulgarian capital city. The city required an easily legible wayfinding system for their newfound spike in tourists. They required a set of characters that can utilize small caps, several figure styles, arrows, Cyrillic and more. Following the release of Sofia Sans in the wayfinding system in tourism, Fullmasters utilized the typeface for the Urban Mobility Center, the city of Sofia’s transit system. This implementation helped the signage to become more useful and legible for local residents, especially with the introduction of English translations next to the Bulgarian text.
